BEST TIME TO VISIT ATLANTIC WATER WORLD, KALINDI KUNJ:

So, the best time to visit would be March – Mid April, August – October

RIDES IN ATLANTIC WATER WORLD, KALINDI KUNJ:

There are roughly 8-10 attractions in Atlantic Water World, Kalindi Kunj. However, not all of them are operational at all times. Depending upon your visit, you can expect roughly 7-8 rides/attractions working. Out of which, 3-4 are enjoyable. I’ll list my favourites here:

Gravity:
Tallest red slide in the park. Almost a free fall.

Tornado:
Accelerate to speed with a friend (Duo Ride) and then let momentum take you up a curved wall. (Tube Required)

For slides that require a tube or a mat, you will have to carry them up on your own, roughly a few storeys.

During early hours, there are practically no wait times, but by 1 pm, it starts queuing up fast and long. So, plan accordingly.

MY EXPERIENCE IN ATLANTIC WATER WORLD, KALINDI KUNJ:

My experience at Atlantic Water World, Kalindi Kunj, was fine until 1 pm.

Before entering, I asked the frisker a few questions, and apparently, a copious amount of people sneak liquor inside and cause a scene. Police visits are extremely common and happen almost every day in peak summers (these were his words, not mine).

By the end of the day, everything will smell of piss and muck. (trust me, it gets really bad).

After 1 pm, the lines get longer and longer, but I guess that’s in almost all water parks.

Most rides are fine and quite fun initially, but the problem begins at the wave pool. Usually, it’s one of the best attractions anywhere, but here, it is the worst.

If you get in it early, you will likely have fun. Trust me, you will see the pool change colours at different times of the day. It progressively gets paler and paler. It will reek of dirty water as if you’re swimming in laundry water from a family of four.

You will have people who will pull you down under the wave because they get in the deep end and cannot handle it. There will be a literal wall of people in the middle as well.

A guy took off his shorts in the middle of the pool (yeah, that happened). You are likely going to be pelted with Swimming goggles and caps. A fight nearly broke out in front of me.

You will step on junk, wrappers, food, and the goggles that are being thrown around.

Since there are no rules for caps, the pool gets filled with hair. Dip your hand in for a few seconds, and you will likely have a few strands of hair.

Now, I will admit, I went there during peak summers (my bad). It could potentially be better during non-peak times, so visit during those.

PROBLEMS:

  1. Long wait queues: This is honestly common in almost all water parks in Delhi.
  2. Overcrowding, less than ideal cleanliness and overall, a poor experience apart from the rides.

GOOD THINGS:

  1. Lockers are newly built and big enough to fit 2 small backpacks, or 1 big backpack easily.
  2. It is very conveniently placed within walking distance of Kalindi Kunj Metro Station.
  3. Ticket Prices are cheap almost the entire season.

CONCLUSION:

My advice is to “Think twice before you visit Atlantic Water World, Kalindi Kunj.”

If you’re someone on a really tight budget, then come here as early as you can. Complete all the rides and attractions as quickly as you can, and then leave in a few hours. It will get so much worse around 1-2 pm.

Don’t bother with all of the rides. Finish the good ones first, as they get crowded very quickly.

Food is just average but overpriced (expected).

However, if you’ve got a few more bucks to spare, or you’re visiting this place without any discounts, then just skip Atlantic Water World, Kalindi Kunj. Instead, go to Worlds of Wonder Water Park, Greater Noida. It’s so much better in almost every way.
